Friends Philippines

The Friends Philippines Program is an on-going campaign launched by the Philippine Embassy’s Tourism Section to attract British, Irish, Icelandic and other foreign nationals, particularly those who have lived, worked, traveled and studied in the Philippines to:

• Assist in generating greater registration of 'friends' into the program;
• Volunteer and participate actively in projects where individual expertise and/or organizational experience in a specialized field can be most useful;
• Provide insights and comments on how tourism promotional efforts can be more effectively implemented in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland; and
• Speak highly of the Philippines, and encourage friends and acquaintances to visit the country

 

At present, Friends Philippines has 180 members composed of peoples of different academic background, ages and professional orientation but all sharing a common appreciation for the natural attractiveness of the country and the friendliness of its people.
