Requirements for Different Types of Visa
Short-stay Visa for Leisure/Tourism/Business
- 1. Completed Non-Immigrant Visa application form
- 2. Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines and a photocopy of its data page
- 3. Proof of financial capability to assure the maintenance of bona fide tourist status during the intended stay in the Philippines (e.g. certificate of bank deposits, pension benefits, or employment certificates)
- 4. Proof of address (e.g. utility bills)
- 5. In case of businessmen, letter from sponsoring firm in the Philippines or in the UK stating the purpose of visit
- 6. One (1) passport photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)
- 7. Other documents that may be required by the consular officer
Visa for Foreign Minors (15 years and below) Traveling to the Philippines Unaccompanied by either of the Parents or Legal Guardian
- 1. If the minor is traveling to the Philippines unaccompanied by either of the parents, the parent/s or the legally appointed guardian of the child should execute an affidavit of consent naming therein the person who will be accompanying the child to the Philippines and with whom the child will reside in the Philippines. The affidavit must be duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
- 2. Upon arrival in the Philippines, the following requirements should be presented at the port of entry:
- a. affidavit of consent authenticated by the Philippine Embassy
- b. clear photocopy of the date page of the child’s passport
- c. clear photocopy of the passport of the accompanying adult or guardian
Note: the accompanying parent or guardian of the child must also pay the following immigration fees:

Non-Quota Immigrant Visa
Who are qualified to apply for the visa ?
A foreign national married to a Filipino national may apply for the visa provided that he is able to prove that :
- (1) he contracted a valid marriage with a Filipino citizen;
- (2) the marriage is recognized under existing Philippine laws;
- (3) there is no record of any derogatory information against the applicant from relevant law enforcement agencies;
- (4) he/she is of good physical and mental health; and (5) he/she has sufficient funds to support his/her family.
Documentary Requirements
Three (3) original copies of the application form (FA Form No.3) duly accomplished and signed
Three (3) original copies of the medical report form (FA Form No.11) with:
- · Original and 2 photocopies of laboratory report
· Chest x-ray film (11’x17’)
· Certification from the General Medical Council that the Doctor who signed the medical report is duly registered to practise medicine in the United Kingdom
Six (6) passport photographs (4.5cm x 3.5cm)
- Original and three (3) photocopies of evidence of financial capacity (e.g. bank statements; pension benefits statement; title to properties, etc.)
- Three (3) photocopies of the Philippine passport or birth certificate of Filipino spouse duly authenticated by the Philippine National Statistics Office (www.e-census.com.ph or www.census.gov.ph)
- Original and three (3) photocopies of marriage certificate
For applicants with prior marriage/s: Submit the original and three (3) photocopies of proof of dissolution of the prior marriage/s (e.g. death certificate, annulment order, etc.)
- Original and three (3) photocopies of the birth certificate/s of unmarried minor child/ren
- Original and three (3) photocopies of a “Certification of Good Moral Character” from an applicant’s employer or parish priest or any person of good standing in the community
- Current passport of the applicant with at least six (6) months validity
- Application fee of One Hundred Eight Pounds (GBP108.00) in Cash or Postal Money Order
Applicant must schedule an appointment with the visa officer and submit the above documents. On the same day, a consul will interview the applicant and inform him/her of the decision on his/her application.
Quota Immigrant Visa
Documentary Requirements for Filing a Petition for Quota Allotment
- 1. Petition letter for quota immigration
- 2. Completed Quota Immigrant Visa Application Form (FA Form No.3) (to be submitted in triplicate)
- 3. Completed Personal History Statement Form (to be submitted in triplicate)
- 4. Three (3) copies of the data page of valid passport
Documentary Requirements for Processing/Issuance of Quota Immigrant Visa
- 1. Passport valid for at least six (6) months
- 2. Completed Medical Examination Form (FA Form No.11) (to be submitted in triplicate)
- 3. Original and 2 copies of laboratory report
- 4. Chest x-ray film (11”x17”)
- 5. Certification from the General Medical Council that the doctor who signed Medical Form No.11 is duly registered to practice medicine in the united Kingdom
- 6. AIDS clearance
- 7. Mental Health Certificate
- 8. Six (6) recent 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm photos signed at the bottom front
- 9. Original and three (3) copies of evidence of financial support [e.g. latest bank statement, bank deposit certificate, pension benefits (as the case applies), proof that the applicant receives pension benefits, property titles or holding]
- 10. Police Clearance or certification that the applicant has no criminal record
- 11. Certificate of Good Moral Character from applicant’s employer or parish priest
- 12. visa fee of GBP 115.00
Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV)
This type of visa may be availed of by foreign nationals and former Filipino citizens. Principal applicants can be foreign nationals and former Filipino citizens who are at least 35 years of age. Dependent applicants are spouses and children below 21 years of age.
Documentary requirements for SRRV include:
- - completed PRA Application form
- - original passport with valid entry
- - medical certificate (both for the principal and dependent applicants)
- - police clearance or clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) (both for the principal and dependent applicants)
- - time deposit certification from any of the PRA accredited banks of the inward US dollar remittance
1x1 and 2x2 photographs (6 pieces each)
- - marriage certificate or any similar proof of relationship for joining spouse
- - birth certificate or any similar proof of relationship for joining children
Note: All documents obtained from abroad must be authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consular Office and translated into English (if necessary).

three (3) 4.5 cm x 3.5. cm photos taken during the last six months, quarter profile showing earlobes
- - prior approval from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs
